Oncology Facial Series, Part 3: What To Expect

Esthetician providing a gentle facial treatment to a woman wrapped in a soft blanket, highlighting the calm and compassionate environment of an oncology facial.

If you’re thinking about booking your first Oncology Facial but feel unsure or nervous - this post is for you.

Here’s what to expect at your appointment:

1. A Warm Welcome - Without Pressure

From the moment you arrive, this space is yours. You’ll be greeted with care, not judgment, and you’ll never be rushed. If you’re having a tired day, we’ll go slow. If you’re unsure about being touched, we’ll talk through it together.

2. A Personalized Consultation

We’ll discuss your medical history, current or past treatments, medications, sensitivities, and anything you’d like me to know. This helps me adapt your facial so it supports, not stresses, your skin and nervous system.

3. A Restorative Treatment

You’ll be tucked in comfortably, and the facial itself will involve gentle cleansing, hydration, and soothing massage (if appropriate). Every product used is oncology-safe. This treatment may feel more like a meditation than a typical spa facial and that’s the goal.

4. Aftercare and Ongoing Support

You’ll leave with recommendations for simple, safe home care and the reassurance that you always have a place here when your skin (or soul) needs support.

This isn’t just about looking better. It’s about feeling seen, safe, and cared for.
